Why we service your smoke alarms

Fire fatalities often occur at night when the occupants are asleep and vulnerable. Working smoke alarms provide that vital early warning system, detecting the fire and warning those inside to allow enough time for escape. Smoke Alarm Professionals cleans, tests and maintains all of the existing smoke alarms, making sure that they are in working order and compliant, leaving you protected even when you are at your most vulnerable.

Changes to the Residental Tenancies Act will require your landlord to ensure that there are working smoke alarms in hallways within three metres of each bedroom door and on every level. The proposed regulations will also make landlords responsible for ensuring that the smoke alarms are operational at the start of each new tenancy. Under these changes, tenants are responsible for replacing smoke alarm batteries (if required) during their tenancy and notifying the landlord of any defective smoke alarms.
